Journeys with Miriam provides practical, interactive education about Judaism.
The workshops are presented by Nina Leigh, a former primary RE specialist who realised that class teachers often prefer to bring in a specialist to cover particular religions in more depth. Journeys with Miriam provides an insight into the origins of Jewish biblical history, culture, and traditions through the eyes of Miriam – sister of Moses – in a fun and interactive way.
Nina has had a wealth of experience in the teaching of Judaism. She has been involved in writing the Judaism section of the Hertfordshire Scheme of Work, is working on a new Judaism Curriculum for the Jewish Board of Deputies and is a mentor for a new Accreditation Programme for speaking about Judaism She has spoken about teaching Judaism at numerous conferences and is also the Jewish representative on Central Bedfordshire SACRE
